Type 2 Blood levels

My bloods have been 4.1 - 6 lately when due to take insulin sometimes I'm on 36 humulin at the min should I miss insulin and have my meal or have something to eat raise my blood then have insulin and then something to eat? I must sound stupid x
 
What were you told when you were prescribed insulin? Were you given any written information you can check?Is there someone at your GP surgery you can call for advise?

We have to be careful about making suggestions regarding medication.
 
Contact your diabetes specialist nurse, she will teach you how to adjust your insulin.
