hello!
is there a device to have at home that will measure my HDL, LDL, triglycerides, blood sugar, ketone and perhaps HbA1c ?
also, as a prediabetic, does the goverment give us money to buy that stuff and the pricks etc? or are they tax refundable or something?
thanks!

Hi @greener I know that if you diabetic you don't have to pay the VAT on some items but not sure about prediabetic. Also the govt won't even fund the majority of T2 diabetics with meters, strips etc so I think that it will be highly unlikely that they will fund you. If you are a diabetic controlled by meds you get free prescriptions but, even then, testing 'stuff' is often not included.

ok, as for the main question of my thread? is such machine available?

I plan to buy the FreeStyle Optium Neo, is it suitable to measure ketones? I think it says it measures b-ketones and I don't know what these are, I basically want to monitor my ketogenic diet, any idea? thanks!

Yes, I have the Neo and use it for Ketones. It's much more accurate than the Ketostix dipped in urine.
