Correct me if im wring but im sure i saw a blood glucose monitor that you didnt have to draw blood for.
Apparently it goes on your arm??? Am i correct or do u still have to draw blood ?

Over the past few days i have been using this Contour next monitor and im finding it difficult drawing enough blood to make it work

Its been cold here lately so when i prick my finger it doesnt really bleed so have to squeeze it and still not enough the machine says, anyway it hurts pricking my finger :arghh:

I think you are thinking of the Freestyle Libre.
There are lots of threads about it on the forum if you use the search.

Yes i rang them in Australia, mail order only

Might be better than prickng my sore fingers everyday !!!:dummy:

Anyone in Australia know if i can buy a similar from a pharmaceutical like chemist warehouse or Priceline ..?

There are basically no other models / versions or makes of this sort of product and to the best of knowledge they are only available direct. They are about $92 for 14 days of sensing which is pretty good if you are testing frequently or if you want to have a better idea of what your blood glucose is doing all day long. I'm thinking of buying one later on - in a few months - and using it help me dial in my daily carb limits and also assess the effects of various foods / amounts on my blood glucose level. If you have a recentish mobile phone with NFC you also probaly won't need to buy the separate reader as the phone app can do that as well.
