thanks all for your responses , i will let you know how i get on next week after talking to the diabetic nurse . @hankjam , I have not had eye test yet , I was waiting for the diabetic clinic to "see" where i go from there . My chest comes and goes too, but thanks for the suggestion of setting a target . I might try that. Also my legs and back can't take a long walk. The weight was my original target and was quite happy with my progress so far , as i get lighter it makes it easier to do a walk as you suggest . But I just didn't like the way they patronised , they should encourage progress. No one wants diabetes but it is here and i just need to deal with it . My GP is great in that way , he understands I'm overweight and i will have aches and pains just from my size , but like most when something is different in your health you know . But hard to convince others that the pain or symptom is out of the ordinary for me. And they wonder why people don't go to the doctor. Sorry, I am ranting again. Just frustrates me . @Brunneria I might take up your suggestion and see if I get another appointment with the GP. @catherinecherub I understand I can't take diagnose from here ... but the old saying misery looks company. But so much to take in since august , I have had a steep learning curve so far . That's one of the things i like here , that others seem to have the similar issues and what they did , which helps me point me in the right direction . I let you know how i get on , thanks again for your help . best of luck to all . Andy
