Type 2 blood pressure tablets

Does anyone know if the blood pressure tablet Lercanidipine affects blood sugar readings , I was given this 4weeks ago & most of my readings have been higher, the Dr who prescribed them said it couldn't do it, but cab think of no other reason for the change, can anyone advise please.

I've never taken that medication, but my post will bring your thread back up the list
