As a systolic reading my nurse considers that the upper limit. What was the diastolic?

I have had high blood pressure for over 40 years, as a consequence on a kidney condition. I've been on meds for it since diagnosed.. the right meds kept in in check and renal doctors were "happy" with anything under 150/95. Since transplant but still on meds I average a perfect 120/80. My point is...it's usually higher at a hospital appointment as I'm hacked off trying to get parked, or I get tested as soon as I arrive..so it's not usually a relaxed reading. More recently I notice the problem was the pathetic machine being used. I always ask for it to be checked manually..and it's always lower! 142 is definitely NOT prefect...perfect is 125- 118 systolic, but there's a few factors to consider...other meds, health conditions, stress, the machine, the nurse..on its own, a single its not reliable. BUT for a nurse to say 142 is perfect is pretty poor. See how consistent it is next time ..meantime...no cause for alarm.
