i have had good blood readings for 3 days now which is very good for me in the range of 5 to 8. Apart from my last reading before bed. It has been around the 14 mark. I have done my injection to the correct carbs that I have eaten. I inject 12 lantus at night usually around 9 to 9.30pm. I have woken up and tested around 12.30am and it's still the same. My morning reading the day after can be down to between 7.0 to 5.0. Any advice.

Could be your lantus is not lasting the full 24 hours. Could be running out then taking a couple of hours to kick back in, hence the rise in BS

Oh right. This has just happened again tonight. Was 7.0 at 4.30pm, at 6.45pm was 15.3. So I have given myself another injection of 2 nova rapid. I was told to reduce my lantus was prev on 13 as had some night hypos around 2.3 to 2.9 around 2am but also on thyroxine too. Now mess for thyroxine had changed so will try 13 lantus again and see how I do. Does anyone think I'm injecting too early ie 9pm for my lantus ???

Can't say for sure as I have no experience of that med you take only the lantus. I usually take mine just before bed at 23.00

As Type1Bri says it looks like your lantus insulin isn't giving you a full 24 hour coverage, you may want to discuss with your DSN about split-dosing to give you are better coverage, either that or ask about Tresiba as this has a 42 hours coverage and is said to have a flatter profile.
