Hi
I am T2 diet controlled with HbA1C of 5.9. I was diagnosed 2 yrs with fasting blood sugar of 12 and HbA1C of 8,2. The doctor wanted me to start on medication but I asked for six months to see if anything changes
Immediately after diagnosis I went low carb and increased exercise a little and since then I've not touched deserts, bread, potato, pasta etc and created a boring but acceptable diet. After a few month my blood sugar settled and become relatively predictable . Fasting is pretty much always 6.2 to 6.8, 2Hrs after meal would be 6.5 to 7.5 with the rare spike and before bed generally 5.5 to 6.5. My 6 monthly HbA1c has been consistent
I the last 2 weeks something changed, my fasting blood sugar has dropped consistently below 6 and is on average 5.3, 2Hrs after a meal is no always less than 7 and occasionally in the 5s and I've started seeing a lot of 4s and low fives before bed.
My diet has not changed, my weight is the same, I am not taking any new supplements or medications.
I am (pleasantly) confused and of course hoping this is a long term change but would appreciate any comments or possible a explanation.
Many thanks
