Blood sugar is high

Hi All, I spoke to a few people last night about my blood sugars. Considering I'm on 2 types of tabs it's still high. I took the advice I was given on here and saw my GP. He told me not to worry and give the new tab time to work. I've been on this tab 2 weeks. I tested my levels a short while ago, I thought there was something wrong with the machine as it said HI. I tested again and it came up HI I'm a little confused as to why it's not showing my levels. Can anyone help me understand please.

Hi. Hope you get on OK.'Hi' means you are into the 30s and that is dangerous. After your A&E visit come back and we may be able to guide you further.
 
I should add that as you are only 35 it is possible you are not T2 but a T1. Can I ask what your weight is like as not being overweight is another pointer to T1?
