Blood sugar level problem

I have been diabetic type 1 for about 8 years, I keep it under good control. I only take 17 units of Lantus in the morning and that’s enough to keep my bloods in a good level of 5.2 - 8.00. 2 days ago my sugar level spiked to 10 and would not come down at all and is still up at 10.00 still, I have tried excrising to bring it down but nothing is working. I have changed my insulin pen, changed my injection site, I don’t feel ill so that’s not the reason for it being high and now I just feel so hungry as I haven’t had carbs for 2 days and need help solving the problem. And help would be much appreciated. Also I have lost my appetite and every time I do eat I am feeling extremely gassy.

No faster insulin? That's what most of us would do to bring sugars down.

I also wonder if you've been on a very long honeymoon, and if that's now over. Professional advice would be good in that case.

Possibly but won’t of a honey moon period last for that 8 years? When I got my bloods tested at the hospital a year ago they actually said I had diabetes type 1 and a half
