I have noticed tonight a difference in my blood sugar levels when testing on my 2 hands.I did this several times the right hand finger was 6.3 and left was 7.2 is this a one off or is it normal.

It's normal and nothing to worry about, but it can be rather confusing! You can sometimes get different readings from the same finger taken a short time apart too. Your glucose levels will be changing as your blood circulates, so you may see these fluctuations.

Your tests are (just) a snapshot in time, and you should be looking for patterns/trends over time rather than be concerned too much about individual results. If you get a very unexpected result though, it's probably worth washing your hands (again) and retesting, but otherwise don't worry.

Seems like quite a difference if these were taken within a short time of each other. I'm going to try this next time I take a measurement. Once in a while I get a very low or high reading that doesn't seem right and when I retest immediately after I get a reading that makes more sense.
