I have been doing this in the little log books that came with my monitor but I’m now considering doing it on my phone. There are so many log apps that I have no idea which to choose from. Any recommendations?
 
I am using (Android) Blood glucose tracker for years now, very good. Free on Google Playstore.

MySugr App gives HbA1c estimates if you log regularly.
 
I'd add a vote for mysugr app. I like it enough to pay for the premium version...
 
I quite enjoy the mySugr app, but my meter also has Bluetooth and uploads results directly to an app called SmartLog. I much prefer mySugr as there are fun little challenges to take part in.
