Blood sugar low and dropping

I tested my blood sugar today after eating my evening meal at 5.30 pm and it was 5.1
Thinking my machine was broke I did it again nd it came back 4.9
I had my medication at 1.30 pm and have never had such a low reading before
Should I be concerned?

What was the number before the meal @Gigeri77?

The numbers you have described are not a cause for concern. Are you used to much higher numbers? What medication are you on ?

I will tag @daisy to give you some basic information which includes when to test your blood glucose.
 
My sugar is usually always over 12
I didn't test b4 meal but wish I had
 
Iv been lapsing lately with my diet (ooops) nd I take meteor min nd Gliclazide

You have to be careful if you are on glicizide.
I would have a chat with your doctor if you are getting normal readings, as you may soon start getting hypos.
Always use your food diary to record all your meals and readings.
Then you can show your GP or dsn, to back what steps you have taken to get your results.
 
Thanks for the heads up...I have my diabetes review on Monday. ..I will mention it
