I am currently using an Aviva Accu-check Expert for my blood sugar which is great as it lets me input carbs etc but is there a new meter on the market that gives bs readings in the new format rather than 12.1 etc ?

What new format are you referring to?

Those meters are for use outside of the UK as in the USA, they read in mg/dl as opposed to mmol/l here.

Some diabetes trackers apps will do the calculation for you. If it were me, I'd call the customer services dept at Accuchek and ask if you can change settings on the meter.

Is there a particular reason you would prefer the other format? Did you live in the USA or anything? Just because all doctors and HCP's as well as most people on these boards will be used to the UK format (which is also used in most of Europe, Canada and a lot of the world) and meters are not made to be changed over.

At my diabetic cline the Hba1 is always given out in mg/dl and I was wondering if Ihave missed out on a new machine......
