Blood sugar numbers

Hiya,

I just tested for the first time as got my free monitor a few days ago.

Last ate almost 4 hours ago it was 7.4 is that bad?

It's a good start. The thing to do is to test before you eat, to get your baseline before the meal and then two hours after you started eating, not always easy that last bit. With time you'll maybe want to track certain foods/meals and see what they do one, two and maybe three hours afterwards, just to see... but it really is the two hour that gives you a good guide as to how you've processed the meal.
Stay around and let us know how you're doing... as we're here to help, if we can.

exactly what @hankjam said... once you can see the foods that cause higher readings (usually carbs) then avoid eating them in future. You'll soon build up a repertoire of foods that you know don't cause spikes so you don't need to test for.
