Hi everybody. I was diagnosed type 2 five months ago and have enjoyed being educated by the questions and answers on the forum. My first Hba1c at the end of July was 7.2 and generally my regular readings are around 6.5 to 6.9 with no spikes. Today on the forum I read that 7.0 was in the "danger danger" zone. Is that true? I had thought my 6.5 to 6.9 was good but it's uncomfortably close to 7.0.

Hi Frandia,

The health authorities will tell you that below 7.5% is OK. Personally, I prefer to be lower.

So far, you seem to be doing OK but my advice would be to see whether you can get even lower.

Best Wishes - John

Thank you, wallycorker. Sorry about the delay in replying but I've been away from home. I'm working on getting it down further.
