my dad has had diabetes for a long time, and is on a lot of sugar control tablets. he's having a number of serious health problems now. the doctors say not to worry about blood sugar swings at his age, but does anyone know if extreme peaks and troughs are less important in the elderly, or are the doctors likelyi n effect saying it's not worth worrying about because he's not got long to go?
(second question not expecting clear answer to is could there be any link between diabetes/ sugar levels and anaemia and confusion and sleeping lots)?
