I was doing well re reducing my BS, but for the last three nights I have been having "sundowners " courtesy of my Alzheimers. For those who don't know sundowners mainly occur in the evening and can last until the early hrs of the morning. In my case I feel unsettled, wound up like a tight Spring, unable to relax, brain full of thoughts I can't stop, in other words I am so stressed I can't sleep, can't think logically. This has resulted in much higher BS in the morning reading 12 this morning and 10 .9 on previous two mornings!
At the moment I can't see a way of reducing them, but will stick with the low carb diet,as sure it is helping otherwise.
Will post this on my Alzheimer's forum in hope that someone may have an answer!
