Hello i have done all of that stuff! :S it is down to 11.8! So getting there i guessSorry for all the questions....
I don't know your ratios and am not a doctor, but:
Is it coming down yet?
Are you sick and if so do you have "sick day rules" to guide you?
Have you been following your usual routine?
Could you try another cannula, or even swap the whole set again for a different phial in case it has 'gone off'?
Good luck... I will check back later...
No clue at all! It was 10.7 before I went to bed but woke up this morning and was at 12.8 and then lunch time was 13.7 so not as bad I guess!did you have any clues to the possible causes in the end... and is today any better?
once off track it can take a while to get back in line...
I've had dka before but luckily not whilst I have been on the pump! But I will try my insulin pen!Your pump was most likely blocked for a while so that would explain the high blood sugar. It would take a while for the insulin to kick back in after the set change as you body would have been starved of insulin for a while. Always change the set if you get a high blood sugar. I've made the mistake before and ended up with ketoacidosis.
