Blood sugar's rising over night

I am type 2 but they are testing for Lada

Was only diagnosed 5 weeks ago as ended up rushed into hospital vomiting and high blood sugar's ended up on sliding scale
we found tablets not controlling it so moved onto a basal ? Insulin inject twice a day still working on control
Last ate 7pm (2 ham salad rolls

Before bed was 24.2 .7 hours later it's saying 31.2 even though not eaten or drunk anything other than water

If your blood sugar is over 30mmol/L you should not be at home, you should be at hospital.

It sounds quite plausible that you have LADA or late-onset Type 1. In which case, once you start the right insulin regime, things will settle down a lot.

You really do need to talk to your diabetic nurse or medical team about your numbers, they are to high to be left untreated
