My weight is 50 kilos and female.
Blood sugar will not go down after taking metformin.
Doctor prescribed: Metta SR 500 after dinner, Trajenta (linagliptin) after breakfast and Gliclazide half an hour before lunch.

Morning Fasting blook sugar is on the high side - Never below 6 and never above 7.

Can anyone advise me?

Do I need to go back to see my Endocrinologist?

Hi. that's an interesting little concoction of meds. I'm just wondering when you were diagnosed and what your level was then, and what it is through the day - your average...maybe your HbA1c. The morning levels may be a little high, but still below the HbA1c average to be defined as strictly diabetic. I'm guessing your average is higher? My morning levels these days aren't really going under 6 very often and they are only above 7 once in a bluish moon...and so long as I stick to a low carb diet, that's pretty much my average...and I am not on meds. More detail would help.

Thanks for your reply.
I was diagnosed in Sep 15
Highest Hba1c is 7.9
Lowest is 6.9.
My average is 8.
After sticking to LCHF diet it has come down.
Fbg - 5 - 6
Before lunch 5
After lunch 8.
Seldom above 8.
It went up to 9 once when I took glutinous rice.
Thanks to this Forum.
I learned a lot through all your sharing.
