Do you want the bad news Henry? Your diet is most likely what gave you diabetes in the first place and needs changing. I am sorry if I sound harsh, but you must know that Lucozade is an energy drink that is almost all sugar. It is what we are given to drink by doctors when they want to check how we react to glucose in order to diagnose diabetes. It is what diabetics drink when they are having a hypo (seriously low levels) to bring them back up to normal levels. If you are serious about helping yourself, please stop drinking this liquid sugar NOW.
Other items.
Cornflakes are the worst cereal going. Have you read the packet to see how much sugar and carbs are in them?
Chips? 3 or 4 maybe, if you are lucky, but most certainly not a whole normal portion
Can of peaches? Almost as bad as Lucozade. Have you read the label?
Try a Greek yogurt for breakfast, or bacon and eggs, scrambled eggs, 2 boiled eggs, any eggs at all. Avoid all cereals.
Try a few fresh or frozen berries instead of your canned peaches, and eat them with cream or plain yogurts.
I rather think I remember you saying you have a meter. If you haven't, then I suggest you buy one soon. It is an essential tool.
Please test before you eat then again 2 hours later and look what the difference is. If it is more than 2mmol/l there is something in that meal that needs avoiding or reducing in size. Only by doing this can you learn what you personally can eat.
