hi
as a t2
.i test my .bp twice a d.ay
what a re the average readings
.thanks

As a type 2 I test my blood glucose about 5 x a day
And my blood pressure about once a year when I'm in the doc's for blood tests (and yes, I know they should test more often. But they don't.)

I think it depends on age but probably 120/80 is a reasonable target for most.

That's an interesting chart. I was asked to take Hypertension tablets due to having it in the family when my BP was at 130/80. That's typically the peak resting BP I had without them. Since taking the tabs, and more importantly doing a shed load of weights, that's dropped to typically 115-120/68-72.

In none of those readings was I considered to be high.... However the Diabetes was considered enough of a risk factor for 130/80 to be considered unsafe. What happened to others?

The MAXIMUM guideline for any diabetic is 140/80. 120/80 is the ideal for anyone. The brilliant chart from @pavlosn shows it all.

Back in August I had one of those 12 hour monitors strapped to me to see why I was having dizzy spells. My 12 hour average was 116/67 with no significant/unexplained highs or lows. It turned out I had vertigo, not low BP. Lol.
