I hear that 6.5 or lower is better so your almost there. Continue to exercise everyday for 30 minutes and you have to cut all foods that affect your glucose. But then again I am a newbie so I am going by what I am being told. Thanks for your info.when i was diagnosed i had blurred vision. After My sugar was normal by diet adjustment blurreness gone. Recently i had hbA1c check it is 6.8 without any medicines. However one of my friend is saying that i should have medicine to go more down
what is your advice

your looking to being between 5 - 7 mmol/LWhen u say bg in tatgey range does it mean below 240mg percent or 120
How long did it take?Yes I had this .. And my vision has returned to normal once my sugar levels were under control
Great info thanks.Hi JRios
at diagnosis your blood sugar levels will have been quite high
with taking the metformin and adjusting your diet your blood sugars will have dropped a fair bit in a short space of time.
One of the outward symptoms of this is blurred vision.
If you continue to keep your blood glucose in good control for a while your eyesight should return to normal.
Hard to say exactly how long but as little as a few days or could be a few weeks.
try not to worry in the short term but if it does not improve get to an optician or your GP for a check and some reassurance.
I would say no meds. hbA1c takes time to drop so as long as your avoiding foods that raise your sugar and just exercise everyday, the numbers will drop.when i was diagnosed i had blurred vision.
