So I found this:-

Where the good Dr Benjamin Bikman talks about insulin, glucagon, protein and whether protein is bad because it can be turned into glucose. TL;DR is that sensible IF and/or LCHF results in a far healthier insulin:glucagon ratio than the Eat(un)well Diet.

But he also raised another interesting point, ie that brains need glucose, and the lack of evidence that they do, or would prefer ketones. And the only cell that really needs glucose is the erythrocyte, or red blood cells.. which makes sense given it lacks mitochnodria. Which also makes me wonder about the toxic effects of excess insulin or glucose on those cells.

Oh, and brainz because I've been playing a fun zombie game, and spend far too much time wondering about the biological plausibility of zombies. No circulation? So how do their cells work?
