Being diabetic
O.k. So all registered up and here I am

Was diagnosed type 2 about 2 years ago, but have being suffering from Ostrich syndrome ever since (I.e. burying head in sand) went off to the Doc for my blood tests only to be told that my B/S are too high as is my cholesterol level, so have now been put on a regime of Pioglitazone and Giclazide. I am several stone overweight and have been doing o.k. losing a bit of weight and giving up smoking, unfortunately now my weight is creeping up which I am finding quite upsetting and frustrating

Hi

Welcome to the site.

I was diagnosed earlier this year and it took me a good few months to get my head around it.

I have started to eat low carb and walk a couple of miles a day which is helping me a lot and my last bloods showed improvement which I was very pleased with.

You need to set yourself a routine of eating whats good for you throughout the day and you will soon get used to it.

Its a difficult time when you are diagnosed, but you will get yourself sorted out and fully on track soon Im sure.

hya diabetic snail and welcome,
