I would if I could especially chocolate Brazil nuts. So it's probably best that I don't.

100 grams of Brazil nuts has about 12 grams of carbohydrates So maybe a small number occasionally would be OK you would have to way them and devide it out to find the carbs for the amount you eat.

That may be a US-based calculation you're referencing. I say that because the nutrition information I'm looking at shows 12g of carbs per 100g, but 8g of dietary fiber. Effectively, that equates to 4g of "Net carbs" (A term we use in the US) per 100g.

Hankjam beat me to it. 1 or 2 nuts a day gives you your total selenium. Selenium is one of the nutrients you are supposed to be careful not to get too much. It's very abundant in tuna and salmon as well as a few other fish. The good news is it binds to Mercury and carries it out so far less fear of mercury when eating these fish.
I like mixing up a trial mix with different nuts and seeds. A little of this and that also gives me a variety of nutrients and allows for a few tastes do carb ire nuts.

No when went back to it realised it was just plain wrong neither did it refer to Selenium and when I took a closer look it had 100 grams of Brazil nuts containing three times it's own weight in potassium 4 g of carbs is the correct figure ror 100 g of nuts sorry thanks for the correction folks.

I think as good as it sounds though as I take imuran and prednisilone selenium is such a booster of the imune system I might give them a miss myself.
