Type 2 Bread and bread alternatives

Thank you, just gone and looked, I think I need to go through what they have, and it looks like I'm going to be trying a few of them very soon

Bluetit, think this makes the most sense so far, I will give one a go in a couple of days time, but for the moment I'm not touching them.

However....

Can I just say how much I enjoyed it. Loads of butter, a cup of coffee and ok if it was this weeks treat then so be it. I think the craving was just because it was so good.... Sigh

Hi @Bs0lth Funny you should say that, I am in fact an ex-alcoholic. They say the same about T2D as alcohol, once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic, there is no cure , etc etc. I have given up smoking, alcohol and lots of different carby food, it's all the same really, you just have to convince yourself that you don't do that anymore.

Your BS results are REALLY EXCELLENT so I wouldn't worry too much about the one that went a bit adrift.
Thanks Miahara.

It's taken a lot of perserverience to get them here, I've upped my activity loads, and I'm obsessive at the moment with what I eat... It's driving my family nuts but the more in control of them, I may be able to put off advancing to insulin which my doctors have all ready said is more than likely going yo be in my future...

Much respect to you, you have had multiple battles to over come. I have yet to give up smoking, after a year of therapy I had just started to get my head into stopping and I will do it, it's just this has thrown a road block in my path and I need to get my head round it. But, I'm more positive about things than I have been I. Years so hopefully that's going to be my next thing to conquer

Thank you everyone for your comments, I'm overwhelmed by all the help you guys are giving. I'm so very pleased that I found this forum, not only does it make addictive reading, the links have been a great help but it's also a pkace that I'm finding answers to the silliest of questions.
