Semi skimmed has more lactose or sugar than full fat. If you must have cereals try double cream with a bit of water.Using semi skimmed milk.
I tend to stick to pretty much portion control as recommended on packet eg 45g of granola, 2 weetabix etc
No longer available sadlyHave you tried the Aldi Nut paleo musli? It had some good feedback with moderate lower carbers and some type 1's I think @mytype1.life tried this?
Honey?Eat Natural Super Granola Almonds & Honey
It's 35g per 100g so a lot lower than anything else I've found.
Sorry, my bad! These people are Type 1.
Sounds good. I tend to alternate between nuts and yoghurt and bacon and eggs.Try a handful of sliced almonds and double cream. I have this every morning I awake, before a later egg and bacon fry up
It's just part of the overall marketing. The actual content of honey is next to nothing per serving. I usually go for around a 20g of carb portion and mix in greek yoghurt.Honey?
Sure would swap my T1 for T2 in a hot minute. T1 is a sonofabitch. I rock the best management in my practice and I can diminish the condition not one iota. These people are Type 1.
Thanks for all the tips. Bacon and eggs would be just to expensive every day as well as time consuming, compared to popping a couple of Weetabix etc in a bowl with some milk. Some of the low carb granolas are very expensive compared to say Aldi, Sainsbury etc
