being a diabetic and finding restrictions.to life style. people who do not understand the problems one has. not being able to afford to come back to uk for holidays as often, quite expensive. miss some foods that the French do not do. but can live with that French drivers. who love to tail gate. and they love to drive over the white line. in rural areas they are a pain. but get use to it. does put the wind up you. But driving in the UK found that drivers want to get as close as they can. and the traffic. it took me 25 minutes to get to friends house which was less then a mile away. due to traffic.
morning, I get fedup with yoghourt every moring.

Suggestions and variety would be helpful

Eggs? Omelette? I often have an egg with butter. Bacon and eggs. Scrambled eggs and smoked mackerel. Cheese in any shape and form.

I have Grapefruit although I believe if you are on Metformin or is it Stations? you can't have it.
Followed by 2 coddled eggs on 2 slices of Hovis seeded sensation bread.
Or sometimes Sliced Ham and Tomatoes .
If you like fish how about grilled Smoked Mackerel or Smoked Haddock or Kippers with apaches egg.

Porridge if it doesn't spike you too much, with some double cream and a few berries; cold meats and cheese; cooked breakfast with bacon, egg, mushroom, tomato; eggs on a slice of wholemeal toast; and sometimes yoghurt as well (with a sprinkling of coconut and cinnamon).

And yes it's statins you can't mix with grapefruit - says so on the box of them that I'm not taking ...

Thanks so much. lovely ideas.
Will try some of these.
Just that Breakfasts and lunch are sometimes difficult. as I take a reading first thing. and do not want to spike.
So have printed these off and will enjoy them
thank you all so much

I love chopped bacon, onion, mushroom, maybe some peppers, with some mixed herbs cooked in a frying pan, two eggs cracked in on top and stirred till cooked with some Worchester sauce. I usually can't face breakfast, so this is my brunch. Nice and low carb too.

I do the same but add little shrimps and use gluten free soy sauce aka egg fu yung.

Amlodopine (blood pressure tablet) is another one you can't eat grapefruit with.
