Type 1 Breathing problems

Hi everyone hope your all well
I have a question
I'm having breathing problems and I have had this before with high blood sugars
I'm having to take extra breaths constantly chest bit tight not badly but enough to notice
My hba1c is 98 last one was 92
I'm on 10 Lantau twice day
Correction 1-3
Carb ratio 1-10
I'm seeing endo weds
Was just wondering if anyone else gets this when there bs have been high
No ketones
I have found that I struggle to hang washing shower etc exhausted actually after doing some basic stuff
I did give smoking up six months ago
Maybe it's a lung thing
Any ideas
 

Also right temple pain on an off tonight but no migraine or headache

Ok, well I think it's something that needs checking out, if only for your own peace of mind.

It could be related to your high sugars, but equally it could be something unrelated, so it definitely needs mentioning to a doctor.

If you're feeling really breathless, I'd get medical input as soon as you can.

Yes I have an app for my yearly diabetes check tomorrow so I'll definitely mention it again

breathing problems can be from many reasons, but one can be the heart strugling , so it is important to go see GP and have that excamined
 
I don't feel breathless with a high BG. However, an indication for me that my BG is higher than it should be is that any pain or niggle or sniffle gets exaggerated. This could be an ongoing muscular pain in my shoulder or more hay-fever sniffles.
 
I had something similar before starting thyroid hormones. I'm not saying your thyroid is underactive, but you should get it checked anyway as diabetics are far more likely to get hypothyroidism.
 
It's worth passing it by your GP. For the last several months, upon exertion (walking dog, rushing out with bins etc) I would get breathless, and have to wait to get my breath back. My thoughts were vitamin or mineral deficiency. GP listened to my chest and detected a heart murmur. Currently waiting for referral to consultant.
Heart murmur = poorer blood circulation = less oxygen to lungs. It makes sense for my symptoms. Get it checked. Could be many things.
