Hello,

This isn't really diabetes related but I am not too sure what to do...for a couple of days now I have been getting like out of breathe and shortness of breath and it also feels like my chest is tight...it doesn't hurt or anything but I just feel out of breathe and so exhausted...I just went onto the NHS symptom checker and it says to go to A&E but I don't feel as if I am bad enough to go there..my sugars are fine btw....I have doctors on the 18th.....

I think the 18th is too long to wait. If the symptom checker says go to A & E I think that's what you should do. Or can you get an earlier appointment with your GP?

I honestly want to cry :/ I don't know I want to go to A & E but feel as if I could just end up wasting there time....and nope no earlier appointments available especially for the doctor I want to see...as I have mentioned this to others and they do not seem to give a ****! x

I feel kind of trapped if that makes any sense...and it kind of feels better when I yawn!

How about ringing 111 for advice?

Ring 111
they will probably say we will get a doc to call you back or go to a&e
whatever the outcome is, if you are not seen today call the GP first thing tomorrow morning and tell them this is how you feel and that you are diabetic. they will give you an urgent appointment.
Been through it just a few days ago

I think I will ring 111 as soon as I finish work at 5:30! I want to cry so much my boyfriend says it could be an anxiety attack but it has been going on since last night...I can't even lay on my back as it was too uncomfortable !

The weird thing is it consantly comes up with anemia when I put my symptoms in but I have been tested for it :(

It could be all sorts of things. Try not to worry, that will only make it worse. I went to A&E with chest pains in the Summer. I spent all day in there and there was nothing wrong except a pulled muscle in my chest, near my heart. They were very kind and didn't make me feel like I was wasting their time at all. :)

Oh dear that doesn't sound too good! That's the thing....my local hospital have a bad reputation...been in the news alot ha! Queen's Hospital Romford? x

Well they gave me loads of tests to make sure there was nothing more sinister, that's why I was there so long. :)

Stop worrying! Make that phone call when you can and take it from there. And like I said, let us know :)

Thinking of you
x

I'll make it...thank you for your help! I will try and stop lol! and yes will let you know x

Dont look up on the internet too much it could lead you to so many diseases you would not want to think of leave aside having them, just stay calm and everything will be ok. Do call 111 just in case and if you feel better best is get the gp to give you urgent appointment, mine is quite bad with even the urgent appointment at times but then we either have to go to hospital or walk in centre.

We do have the walk in centre....whether that will be any good or not?
