I just came across it today in a recommendation by Michael Eades, and got it on Kindle. It's brilliant. He is a biochemist (professor of Cell Biology at State University of New York, SUNY) and an exasperated and impatient critic of bad science. So bits of this are quite technical, but much of it isn't, and it is all really well written in quite a conversational but not irritating tone. I found it a delight to read, and got very little else done this afternoon :-(  So it's a biochemist's exposition of how the metabolism works, and a biochemist's reaction to fallacies in medical trials, medical reasoning, and common sense (which he talks about a lot). I really think this just about answers everything.</blockquote>
