I'm trying to work out what a "normal" rate for blood sugar levels to come down by over time would be.
This has been prompted by a day when, no matter what I ate or when I tested, I could not get below 8.5 and this morning, where two hours after eating breakfast (shredded wheat, 1 cup of tea) my sugar was 11.7 at 8:30, and now, down to 6.0 :?
I just don't get it. Anyone shed some light?

Today's been totally wild...
7.8 pre breakfast, 10.1 post
5.4 pre lunch, 14.6 post (yay!, NEW PERSONAL RECORD!)
Breakfast is shredded wheat, tea.
Lunch yesterday was Kidney beans, rice, soup, gain and onions.
Today was a small ciabatta with pastrami...and a ketchup sachet.
I bread and ketchup are culprits I guess, but 14.6 after two and a half hours....I must have been flying....oh wait, I still am!
