BS levels?

H everyone,
Hope all are coping in this hot weather. I would like to ask for some advice.
I have been testing my blood sugar four times a day to see how foods are affecting me.
This lunch time it was 7.4 before a meal of chicken fajitas in one wrap, a small jacket potato with butter and two small brown rolls and some salad. I knew I had Amgen too much and two hours later my bs was 10.5! That's the highest it's been since I started testing about a week ago. What worries me is that my husband who has not been diagnosed with type 2 like me but who is also overweight decided to test his bs level to compare it with mine as we had eaten the same food. It was 9.5. Does this mean that he could be type 2 as well? Should he go and see the doctor?
Thanks,
Chris xx

yes, would be worth him visiting gp or even a pharmacist which offers a diabetes screening test. A non diabetic although meant to be 7.8 ish at any time of day (i think) could have the odd slightly higher reading. Best get checked out.
