bs rise post meal

I wonder if you knowledgeable lot could help me with answers to these questions. How much should your bs rise after you have had a meal? And what constitutes a spike in your bs levels? Thanks for your help.

I think....ideally under 2mm rise..anything over 8 at about 2 hr needs looking at. some don't want to see over 8 anytime
