Lots of small bubbles have formed at the bottom of my penfill cartridge in my NovoPen Echo. They won't budge even if I flick the outside etc.

Does this indicate any problem with the efficacy of the insulin and should I discard it and start a new one?

I think I'd play it safe and start a new one...probably fine but if you're concerned...don't take the chance.

I always get some bubbles in mine but that sounds more like some kind of condensation. Is there a chance it got too warm at some point? I agree with starting a new cartridge though
