Hi! I've been moving my slow acting insulin up and down, trying different times. You will get there! I've recently managed to stabalise things a little and actually went FIVE nights without a hypo!
- I inject 2 to 4 units of fast insulin at breakfast time and if I'm running high I give it time to kick in. I usually have milky coffee, a slice of brown bread, protein, and raw veg.
- I inject my slow insulin about an hour before lunch. 20 units of Levemir. I have a low carb lunch
- I've stopped having fast acting insulin at night unless I'm having a special meal. I usually have a salad or some scrambled eggs with a small slice of toast. I might top up with a digestive biscuit if I'm a bit low. I don't think that you need to worry about you sugar level being a bit high when you're going to bed - as long as you haven't overdone the carbs!
I'm currently keeping my fingers crossed.
Good luck to you x
