Just a warning to those doing LCHF. The spreadable Lurpak has 30% butter, 26% Canola oil, and added water whipped up together. The Lighter spreadable swaps 7% of the butter fat for polyunsaturated vegetable oils.
Place your butter in a nice butter dish which has a cover and leave it on your kitchen counter or in your cupboard. Providing that it doesn't sit for yonks then it won't go of and will be much easier to spread.
What about non-hydrogenated margarine? I was also told by my dietician to avoid the hard margarine that you use for baking and to use butter instead. But she did say I should use the non-hydrogenated margarine. But with that said I use butter instead. Just tastes that much better.
Always butter, as a child my mum was told that margarine was better for me also that skimmed milk was what I should be eating it lasted for about 2 years then I stopped. Now butter always and always kerrygold.
