How long are you planning on visiting the UK @Dannno404 ? If you are going over to the UK for an extended visit, as has been pointed out, like the States, it's prescription only. As you know, in Canada you can buy it over the counter as long as the pharmacist is satisfied, as it's a schedule 2 drug.

If it's due to costs, I would get over here, go to a private doctor, and get a UK prescription issued to allow a UK purchase. Quite simple to do.
If its a worry over running out, all you need to do is seek help at any UK walk in centre and you will be sorted out.
