c-peptide question

Can someone interpret for me the results below, my doctor said I am prediabetic because of the glucose tolerance test I got 189mg/dl.

Also I received:

C PEPTIDE 1,620 ng/ml - ref values (1,1 - 4,4)

Insulin 7,82 mU/L - ref values (3 - 25).

If I eat an apple I spike to 160mg/dl, how the heck this is prediabet.

two-hour glucose levels of 140 to 199 mg per dL is the prediabetic range at 2hr of a GTT

you need the Dr to interpret the insulin and g pep ratio..both are in normal range

as you found out..apple carbs will spike some people...you could cut some carbs and go on a lower carb diet and add some health fats/oils to replace the lost energy
