Sorry to have caused problems for anyone I have never had any problems with lavender oil used neat and I did read that it could be used neat .I am usually very careful what I use and try to only use natural products I realise I should have said to test a little first before slapping it on

As an experienced oil user I have always used lavender oil neat - the only oil that can be used neat - all others have to be mixed with a carrier oil such as almond.
Late onset T1, several auto immune issues.
Humalogmix25 twice a day, Methotrexate 25mg once per week, FolicAcid 5mg once per week, prednisolone 5mg daily, Allopurinol 300mg, Calcichew-D3 800iu, Levothyroxine 50mcg, Atenolol 50mg, Losarten 100mg, Aspirin 75mg, Nicorandil 20mg, Nitrolingual GTN spray, Metformin 2000mg, Allimemazine 10mg, Lanzoprazole 30mg, Atorvastatin 20mg, Co Codamol 8/500mg, Depo Medrone (Methylprednisolone) or double Prednisolone for 7 days in case of RA flare.

Carol PLEASE don't apologise. It was my fault ENTIRELY that I put it on neat, I certainly know better. Anyway, it didn't affect me adversely so, no harm done. xxx
I'd like to say a BIG Thank you to all who suggested creams that may stop this itch I've had. Eventually got the the Chemist today and after she picked herself up off the floor 'cos I'd asked for some Earex for my itchy rash instead of Eurax, I came away with both Eurax and some Lanacane, just to be on the safe side.
