So for a long, long time my overnight basal has been spot on and I wake up with BG between 4 and 5. For the last 3 weeks or so I've had a cold but it didn't seem to have done that much to my BG I've also had some set issues so I've been more stressed. Anyway I noticed I was waking with higher BG, from 6.8 to 8.3. I wasn't sure if this was in part to not enough insulin for dinner, although my BG before bed I would adjust if not on target. So last night ate at 8.40pm. BG at 11.40pm 5.8 and still had a little insulin on board. Had a lie in so woke up at 9.30 with 13.7    So I am going to do basal fasting tonight if I can but I'm just amazed the change in needs can be so great. Is this normal?
