Hiya, is it possible to feel your pancreas working? I have a sensation, within my upper abdomen cavity that is definitely linked to eating. It is like a fist pressing and tingling pins n needles, creeping. It started just before i started to have invasive tests to route out cause of aneamia 12 mths ago. At the same time my sugar levels were moving from 39mmol to 47mmol a year later. It comes and goes linked to eating.

Is it my pancreas?

Hi @alisonbigbird, firstly none of us can diagnose on here, all we can do is offer support and advice. Personally I've never heard of being able to feel your pancreas working, but I'm not a doctor!! Obviously something is going on, possibly reflux, or stress related maybe? You really need to talk to your GP about it. And please let us know how you get on. Take care, Sue xxx

Hi @alisonbigbird. I am convinced that I can feel something 2miles into every run I go on, which feels like my breakfast stores being used up (in the middle of my upper abdomen). The first time I remember thinking that was about 2 weeks before my diagnosis of t1. It's almost like a tightening and slight twisting feeling for me, but not painful or uncomfortable. Who knows what it is, but I like to think of it as my extra energy to keep going for another mile :) x
