can i use a pen

Hello everybody, ive just joined and would like a little info about pens and types of insulins which can be used,for the last 42yrs since the age of 8 i have been on animal insulin, at the moment im using Hypurin Bovine Neutral and Hypurin Bovine Isophane which i mix together or i would be having 10 injections a day , 5 is better than 10, can you use a pen with this type of insulin pre-mixed or similar , many thanks Barry.

Yes you can get animal insulin in cartridges for use in pens, they are used with are the Owen mumford pen..

You can also use your bovin neutral in a insulin pump the only difference is allowing for the extra time as you do at the moment between injecting and eating..
