Can I use Novomix 70/30 and Humalog in conjunction?

DSN has given us new insulin for our daughter, she's now on Novomix 70/30. We have been using Humalog for months to correct highs if necessary and I wondered if we can still use this with Novomix? I was hoping to see the DSN when we picked up medication but she wasn't around and I haven't been able to get hold of her. Thanks in advance.

I would speak with your DSN about this, but when my kids were on the novomix, we too would use fast acting insulin to correct highs and also as additional insulin if they say they went to a party and ate a large amount of carbs which we wanted to cover with quick acting insulin only.

Thanks Leggot. We've had great success with Humalog but I just wasn't sure if it was 'safe' to use the two together. That's probably a really stupid question as I'm sure our DSN wouldn't have prescribed the novomix otherwise I suppose.
