Can Infusion Sets and CGM Inserts Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes?

Hey there forum, This is just some Monday wondering -

When our body gets sick or we have some type of infection to fight we typically see some enlargement of the lymph nodes - in the neck, armpit/chest area, and the groin - depending on where the issue is.

I am wondering if, because we essential have foreign objects in our body (those using pumps and CGMs, and Libres and what not) after a while would our body begin to see these as a type of infection that would cause lymph nodes in the area to swell ?

Does anyone have any opinions / knowledge on this? or if you have happen to be a CGM power user trying to get as many days as possible have you ever seen some enlargement of nodes (or check now and see lol )

Does this make any kind of sense?

Last time my lymphnodes were enlarged, I had lymphatic cancer..lol

That's a good question though, the human body doesn't like foreign objects in it.

That makes me sad, sorry to bring it up.. Which ones were effected, and how did you go about finding this out ? @mist

No worries.

The ones in my neck first time around, and then in my neck again and also in my chest second time around.

I had a lump in my neck and I was titling my head to the side, so bish, bosh and a bash with the old biopsy, five years of treatment and jobs a gooden.

Always worth getting any lumps and bumps checked out.
