Hello, injected as normal at dinner time (had a late dinner as had late lunch) so injected at 9:27pm when BG was 4.5. Started feeling a bit ropey so tested at 10:48pm (7.6) and 11:16pm (5.8). Does this sound like I've injected too much insulin with dinner? And am I feeling like this because I'm dropping so quickly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That seems perfectly normal to me....but obviously check the 5.8mmol reading isn't continuing to drop.

Thanks pinewood. Normally I spike to 14-17 after food so started to worry that it was so low. Will keep checking, thanks x

I think as long as you do a couple more tests before sleeping and make sure that you're holding steady it will be fine ... you may like a small snack to put your mind at rest because obviously the NovoRapid will remain active in your system for 3-4 hours after injecting. Just by way of example, I was 5.5 mmol before dinner at 8pm, peaked at 8 mmol after 40 mins to an hour, dropped to 5 mmol within 90 minutes of eating and then since then I've been steady between 5 and 6mmol.

If anything, I think it's good that you've managed to strike the spike! :)
