Hia - has anyone had their needle inserter snap as they were pulling them out? It's a morbid fear I have as I often think how thin they are and how easily they break when I dispose of them. I find that although i find the silouhettes brilliant in every aspect, I do struggle to take them out sometimes as they seem very stiff. Hopefully nobody will have experienced this so my fears will be misfounded

I've certainly bent them and occasionally have had the same worries as you. I think problems are more likely to occur when you try to withdraw it in a 'mindless' way ie you've done it so often than you don't carefully press in the side 'catches'. I have to say when I deliberately tried to break one (not in me!) I thought that it took quite a lot of pressure which reassured me a bit,

Thanks Phoenix. They just look so flimsy don't they. I suppose if they were prone to breaking they wouldn't be safe to issue so that's another 'worry' I'll try and forget about!!! As you say I'm very careful taking them out. I do remember the first few though, I really thought they were stuck in there and almost gave up on one until my husband came to the rescue and calmed me down and together we managed it.
