Hi, I've been diagnosed as T1D in October last year, I'm now on a medically restricted licence of 3 years.
My car insurance renewal is looming and last year the price was £250 for the year, no points convictions or claims, nothing has changed since. Shortly after diagnosis, I informed my insurer, who updated the policy and stated "thanks for letting us know, no charge" also noted they can't discriminate, good form I thought.
I've done two identical comparisons for this years, however one with the medically restricted licence declared and one without, the best price results were;
Without medical restriction £290
With medical restriction £522
I've done this as I was suspicious it would be hiked, any thoughts gratefully received
